Workshops

Safe discussion spaces for young people
to explore issues that they are dealing with inside and outside school.

Our workshops cover:

Conflict resolution - strategies for life
Constructive approaches; understanding our reactions; tips to bring the temperature down.

Identity, belonging and diversity
Individual strengths and weaknesses; the bigger picture, at home, school and in future life.

Lethal weapons - why not to carry them
The dangers, including long-lasting physical and emotional damage; alternatives to weapons.

Street gangs: resisting the pressure
Demystifying gangs; exploring consequences of gang activity; how to resist being drawn in.

"This was really good. It helped me understand how serious things can get when
you have a weapon."
Young man, 15

"Got me thinking about what aggravates me
and how stupid it is."
Young man, 14

"Helps you to think about things
that are good and bad."
Young woman, 15

Facing conflict

Our aim is to equip young adults aged 8-25
with the skills they need to better manage
their daily tensions and pressures.

Our highly interactive style encourages participation and reflection. Sessions led by experienced trainers and facilitators include:

  • intensive mentoring for those at risk of exclusion or offending
  • small groupwork for those that need an opportunity to think in depth about their situation
  • workshops for up to 40 young people

Please give us a call to discuss how we could work together and what we charge.

"We think that Community Resolve's preventative work around gangs and weapons use, working closely with police and schools, has played a major part in Bristol's fall in knife crime over the last two years, a trend distinctly different to other UK core cities."     Paul Cox, Police Inspector, Bristol District Youth Team, Nov 09
