Young people and conflict

As a project, we believe in peer education and in the abilities and clear sightedness of young people.

We are committed to developing a team of young educators drawn from across a range of backgrounds to work in the schools, youth clubs and the community around conflict. We already have a number of young people who have written films, plays, music and performances around conflict-related issues - drugs, bullying, gangs, home, etc - and others who are trained as trainers with the project.

We would like to see the work they do brought into everyday school practice, with the education system employing these ways of communicating with young people more often. Meanwhile, the project is enthusiastically welcomed everywhere it goes, providing role models from different backgrounds working together in a positive, inclusive way.
