Interactive arts

creative approaches to social education

The Interactive Arts project has emerged from 2 years of work running drama and forum workshops for young people. In that time, young people have produced a number of pieces of work around significant issues to them:

La Boom - a multi-media forum theatre piece which explores ongoing relationships between four central characters, revealing bullying, street crime, gang activity and a love triangle.

Caught in the Middle - a moving short film looking at the impact of knife crime on those around the key players - devised, written and acted by TFA, the young people's steering group for GAP

Raw Deal - one young woman's struggle to avoid cocaine addiction and the influences and pressures of the life around her.

We are now embarking on a new project - Interactive Arts - that will bring together young people aged 16-25. They will be working collaboratively over a number of months to develop concepts and projects that can be used as a resource to discuss social issues with young people.
