Facilitation for all

Our experience of working with voluntary and statutory groups has shown that miscommunication is often at the root of many difficulties inside teams and organisations, and in partnership work. This can be caused by the different communication styles and/or cultural values held by those involved, or because of a lack of clarity around roles and responsibilities.

To address this, we have developed a team of affordable facilitators drawn from local communities who can work alongside local groups and organisations. As they have no interest in the outcome, unlike staff members, our facilitators can unpick differences in attitude and approach, and can focus on clear communication around the table. They are trained to:

• Ensure everyone’s voice is heard
• Air difficulties
• Deal with disagreements as they arise
• Bring your group to decisions they all agree with (consensus)
