Our training approach
Our courses are based on a simple idea: give people a chance to reflect on what they know, to listen to what others know, to try out a few new ideas.
We work with a combination of small and large group exercises, discussion and laughter, taking participants on a journey that starts with their own responses to conflict situations - something most have never thought about.
People leave having had a good time, feeling refreshed and invigorated, with their own ideas and opinions validated and/or challenged, and with more understanding of others in the room. This is what they have said:
- ‘So many ages, temperaments, faiths and cultures discussing such gritty issues’
- ‘I learnt to look at emotions separate from facts, to take people’s context into account, and to understand what pushes my buttons and how that affects how I view things.’
- ‘This course is one of the best I have ever been to.’

Our experience is that this form of training fully engages everyone in the room and equips them with a new understanding of how to approach difficult situations. It sows the seeds of new ideas around managing conflict that gradually unfold over time, impacting on their relationships at work, at home and in the community.
