Our staff
All our staff live or grew up in central Bristol, and are very committed to seeing the organisation's impact grow on the areas where their families and friends live - St Paul's, Easton, Eastville, Barton Hill, St Werburghs, etc. Below they talk about why they work with the organisation.

Staff: Jayson, Hen, Amanda
Jayson Morrison - ‘I wanted to join the project because everywhere you go people talk about ‘problems’, but this project talks about solutions. I was born in the area so know the difficulties coming out of school and how easy it is to get caught up in a certain lifestyle – lack of role models, poor education, no motivation, negative influences around you. To work with people in conflict you have to understand what they’re going through - I feel I have a clear understanding of those influences.’
Hen Wilkinson - 'I've been a community and SEN mediator for over a decade, and have always felt there was more to this work than the community mediation model alone. I wanted all communities to gain skills and understanding around conflict and to find local people who were interested in training in this work. I would never have believed how successful the project would be in engaging people from such a range of backgrounds - something about the work speaks to everyone.'
Amanda Radix - ‘Being involved with Community Resolve totally made sense. My personal relationship to conflict was that it was something to avoid at all times and signalled a major crisis, but this job has changed my attitude both personally and professionally. It is quite unlike any job I’ve done before - continuously challenging, lots of personal growth, but what I enjoy most is the people-to-people interaction – people being able to take control of their situations and change their own outlook and responses.’
Staff: Marlene, Diana
Marlene Stuart - ‘I first got involved with GAP as a member of the adult steering group, and I found the work around conflict resolution very interesting. After working as a sessional worker with TFA, GAP’s young people’s steering group, I did some free training in working with young people around conflict resolution – life skills that stay with everyone. I can honestly say this training/job has helped me work with young people as well as deal with conflict in my own personal life.’
Diana Warden is our finance and personnel worker, keeping our records in order and our paperwork on track.
We also have a number of people who work with the project in other ways -
as sessional trainers, facilitators and volunteers, as well as sitting
on our board.
